A place for fun, fashion and fabriholics.

Dr. Cindy Feelgood, Chief Sewing Therapist.

Meet Dr. Cindy Feelgood, our Chief Sewing Therapist.

That's our joke.

But let's get serious for a minute: Cindy Schaper's been sewing since high school.

And she's seen everything.

Funky fashion trends. Faddish fabrics. Even fashions in teaching people how to sew.

But through it all, she's maintained a sense of humor, a flexible sense of style and the absolute conviction that fashion is for fun – for everyone!

Not just skinny models. But real women with real bodies. And everything that happens at Sew It Seams – the fabriholic's therapy center – celebrates the real woman, our real bodies and our real lives.

After all: how else can we have a great wardrobe that stays on trend and on budget - and still eat chocolate?

Is sewing for you?

If you answered Yes to even one of those questions, sewing is definitely worth exploring.

Plus: if you can use a computer, you can absolutely run a sewing machine. In fact, today's machines can do a lot of things automatically, like buttonholes, with a simple menu choice.

So if you're looking for a fun, creative hobby that can open up a whole new world of color and style for you (and your luckiest friends and family!) then it's time you learned to sew the fun, easy way with the Schaper method at Sew It Seams!

News flash . . . The Perfect Police are DEAD!

Know what? When you're making something, guess whose project it is. YOURS!

Not Great-Aunt Perfect, or Mrs. Precision from seventh grade, or anyone else who may have told you or your mother that some little thing needed to get ripped out and done over for the seventeenth time.

Nuh-uh. That's NOT how we roll.

Now, you certainly will learn
the right way to do everything.

And if you've got a puckered seam in a wedding gown, or a suit you're going to wear to meet the President of the United States? (or the DAR?) You'll do it over. It's a big deal.

But, really. If it's a bathrobe? Who's going to notice it first – your cat or your dog?

Around here, sewing is for
DE-stressing. For FUN.
For feeling GOOD!

Customers say it all the time:

Got friends who craft, who do any kind of creative hobby or even play a sport? Then you'll understand the feeling:

In our hectic, overstressed, overworked culture, and in our pressured, difficult lives, it really helps to have an outlet that's just for us. And someplace to go where people are smiling and happy, for the most part, and nice to us for a change.

So this is our therapy. We're fabriholics, and proud of it. And Dr. Cindy Feelgood is our Chief Sewing Therapist.
